Global Pop-Up Set to Debut in Thailand First, September 1–24, 2026

MINISO has begun releasing promotional images teasing its collaboration with global superstar LISA, instantly generating excitement among fans and lifestyle shoppers. A schedule for the “MINISO | LISA GLOBAL POP-UP” has since emerged, placing Thailand as the first destination from September 1–24, 2026, before the experience continues to Japan, China, and Indonesia. The United States and Mexico are currently listed as “Coming Soon.”

According to the published schedule, Thailand will become the first market to host the pop-up, followed by Japan from September 11 to October 5, China from September 12 to October 11, and Indonesia from October 21 to November 1, 2026.

This development is attracting attention for reasons beyond a typical celebrity collaboration. It reflects Thailand’s growing importance as one of MINISO’s key Asian markets, while also recognizing the country as home to one of LISA’s largest and most influential fan communities.

The collaboration also aligns with MINISO’s strategy of evolving from a lifestyle variety retailer into a global IP-driven design retail group. The company increasingly uses popular characters, international artists, and global collaborations to connect its products with immersive in-store experiences—driving both physical store traffic and social media engagement at the same time.

MINISO currently operates a network of more than 8,000 stores worldwide and has collaborated with more than 150 global intellectual properties since 2020. The company has also been expanding experience-focused retail concepts such as MINISO LAND and MINISO FRIENDS across multiple international markets.

In Thailand, MINISO recently opened the country’s first MINISO LAND at Siam Square. Covering more than 1,000 square metres, the store offers over 8,300 SKUs and features more than 80 intellectual properties. IP-related products account for over 80% of the store’s total merchandise.

This demonstrates that Thailand is no longer simply a market for product sales. It is becoming an increasingly important destination for MINISO to introduce and expand its experiential retail model.

Once further official details regarding the location and exclusive collection of the MINISO x LISA Global Pop-Up are announced, the project could become a compelling case study in how celebrity influence, the fandom economy, and experiential retail can work together to increase brand awareness, attract store traffic, and strengthen a brand’s momentum in the global market.

Ultimately, this collaboration is not only about placing LISA’s name on a collection. It represents MINISO’s systematic use of global celebrity power to strengthen its intellectual-property strategy and retail experience.

The decision to position Thailand as the first market on the published Global Pop-Up schedule further highlights the country’s importance as a major consumer market and one of the region’s most powerful fandom hubs.
