ICONPHUKET: Siam Piwat Announces ฿10 Billion Landmark Destination, Targeting a 2029 Opening

Phuket is preparing for a major addition to its tourism and lifestyle landscape. Siam Piwat has announced a 10-billion-baht investment in ICONPHUKET, a destination combining shopping, attractions and entertainment, with an opening planned for 2029.
Described as the company’s biggest move outside Bangkok, ICONPHUKET will be a centrepiece of Synthesis Ark Phuket, a mixed-use development by CV Group valued at more than 50 billion baht. The wider development spans over 500 rai in Si Sunthon, Thalang district.
More Than a Shopping Destination
Plans for ICONPHUKET include 12 attractions described as “world-class,” occupying approximately one-third of its space. The attraction lineup has not yet been revealed. Green spaces and outdoor gardens are expected to cover more than 40% of the project, placing nature alongside its retail and entertainment offerings.
The architecture will draw inspiration from Phang Nga Bay and Phuket’s coastal scenery, reflecting the region’s seas, mountains and limestone cliffs.
Local identity will also play a central role. ICONPHUKET aims to showcase products, culture and small businesses from all 14 southern provinces, creating a platform for regional entrepreneurs while encouraging visitors to explore more of southern Thailand.
Part of a Larger Transformation
Beyond ICONPHUKET, the wider Synthesis Ark Phuket development will include luxury residences, offices, hotels, serviced apartments, an international school and a wellness centre. Its first phase is expected by 2032, while ICONPHUKET itself is targeting an earlier opening in 2029.
Siam Piwat estimates that the project could generate 50,000–80,000 jobs, spanning construction through full operation. Once open, the company is targeting 80,000–100,000 visitors per day.
According to Siam Piwat CEO Chadatip Chutrakul, the vision extends beyond attracting people to Phuket: the destination should inspire them to discover other southern provinces as well.
With further details still to be announced, ICONPHUKET is being positioned as both a new landmark for Phuket and a gateway to the wider South.
